Hi All,
Ran in the 10km race that was part of the Gold Coast marathon yesterday. While it was a fun run, I didn’t have fun! I ran the 10k in 1 hour 13 mins. which I wasn’t very happy with, but I was suffering a bit along the way so I am not surprised. I have had something going on with my chest all week – I think I have a pulled intercostal muscle (Muscle between your ribs). All week it has been giving me a hard time breathing when I have been running; and it didn’t let up yesterday. I ran with a stitch the entire way. I’m just going to focus on improving for the Bridge to Brisbane now.
Had a pretty off day food wise yesterday. I crashed out with a blood sugar low about an hour after the race and I ate some natural lollies, and had some lemonade to try and bring it up again. I was at lunch with my friend Mel and she brought some Nachos and I had about ten chips but I couldn’t eat anything really. It went away after about an hour but it did make me feel quite ill.
Food for Sunday was:
m1 – Oats with 1/2 Apple and cinnamon
m2 – 1/2 orange, 1 apple, natural lollies, lemonade, 10 cornchips with melted cheese
m3 – sculpt preprepared drink (17.5 g Protein, 14 g Carbs)
m4 – 10 peanuts, 4 cheds biscuits
m5 – Thai beef salad with rice noodles, 1 pure blonde beer.
