It has been a pretty good, relaxing day today. I had a sleep in this morning becasue I missed out on my normal Sunday morning sleep in yesterday. Then I went to the gym and while I wasn’t very inspired to do weights I did them anyway. Chest and Abs and 20 mins interval cardio on the treadmill. Then this afternoon I went for a fairly easy run/slow walk with Mark for 45 mins.
I spent the day checking out prices on the Camera that I am going to buy and making sure that is the one I want – and it still is so that is good.
Otherwise not much else to report today. I haven’t really been doing much thinking this weekend.
Food for today was
m1 – Raspberry Protein smoothy with oats
m2 – 1 sushi nori roll and protein shake on water
m3 – Protein powder mixed in yoghurt with 10 morello cherries (love this)
m4 – Beef Stroganoff with steamed veges.
m5 – choc protein powder with milk (100ml) (Added peppermint essence and now I feel yuk!) Also had 2 Double D lollies.
Here is my Beef Strog Recipe:
Serves 2 People
300g Beef cubed
1 tin crushed/diced tomatos
sprinkle of paprika to taste
sprinkle of chilli powder if desired to taste
1 tblsp tomato paste
1 onion
mushrooms if desired
1/4 cup wosterchire sauce
2 – 3 tablespoons natural yoghurt
I use a slow cooker and basically just chuck it all in and cook it on high for three hours.
Adding the mushrooms in the last hour and taking the lid off the slow cooker so it can cook down a bit and thicken up. Stir the yoghurt through just before serving.
I serve this with steamed veges but if you wanted you could have rice or pasta as well.
You could cook this on the stove top as well. Just brown the meat and cook the onions before adding all the other ingredients.
