I know that there is a few bloggers out there who are either doing or contemplating doing the Gold Coast half marathon (or even 10km).
I had a thought that it would be nice if we were recognisable to each other while we were running so that we could cheer each other on – and find each other for a meet up afterwards.
so – if anyone is interested – I would be happy to do a group order for a technical running singlet – with somegroup name or pic or saying of our choice on it. BUT
You guys would need to help me come up with that which is going to go on the shirt.
SO
Any thoughts at att?
Are you interested?
Post me a comment and let me know becaue I will only do it if there is enough peole interested. You have until May 16th to decide!

Went along to the usual speed session tonight and did a pyramid session. Like so:
200
400
600
800
600
400
200
With the goal of doing the second half faster than the first half. I approached it as a recovery session and wasn’t going really hard, but I still feel like I was running quite fast. I did notice on the 800 that my form in the last 200 meters was dropping off a bit. I would like to do this session on a track with a watch because I would be very keen to know what my PB times over these distances are. I have a vague memory of a 64sec best ever 400mt and a 3:10min 800mt but that was such a long time ago and that is kind of what I would aspire to get back to one day. If I could do a 3:10 800mt then I would anticipate that I could do a 4:00 minute ish 1km as well.
Anyway it was a good session and I really like doing speed work – it sits well with me.
On Sunday this is the route I am planning on running:

I am lucky that I will be living just a short jog from this lovely big lake which is 7.0 km aound the lake itself so with the jog to and from the lake I am anticipating somewhere between 9 and 10km.
So that will make for a nice mid week run and I can do two laps when I’m needing to go a bit longer.
I am in the process of exploring some longer running tracks around Canberra as well, but I anticipate that I will learn about all of this from the people I meet at the running group. Canberra appears to have a nice little event program as well so that will give me some good opportunities to add to my PB tally over on the Right!
