So I am learning to deal with my MIL’s bad do this week it seems. Yesterday – after being at the hospital for the majority of the day and a 6 am sart after 4 hours sleep – I had to take the dog for a walk. I thought – Jo tells me she is a well behaved dog – it should be OK.
She ran at every car, every cyclist, every little kid and every jogger. I did manage to run for a little bit but after a while we had to stop and make her sit every time someone came past us – and she still tried to chase them.
Jo has been teaching her things like sit and heel, but not basic manners it seems.
So while it was a lovely 11km walk yesterday afternoon – I feel as though I got a strength work out at the same time. She is a lovely dog but we really have to teach her not to chase everything that moves.
Me being extrememly tired didn’t really help either!
So I might have run for around 4km but I’m not really sure – it was a very solid walk however – the heart rate was definitely going! When I ran yesterday I had my lorna jane dance pants on and my legs felt a little warmer. My knee wasn’t hurting – all good things.
Yesterday I went to the uniform shop to order my new work shirts – which by chance are exactly the same as my old work shirts – just in a different colour!
Today I am going to check out the Canberra International sports and aquatic centre – huge gym and pool – expensive though.
I also have to go and watch my niece sing in the school choir.
I have been eating rubbish for the majority of this week so far and it isn’t good.
